Since it was launched in 2007, the Nissan Qashqai has been a genuine game-changer, helping spark the surge in popularity of small SUVs – and it continues to be one of the very best cars in its class.
The second-generation Qashqai continues to be lauded for its blend of practicality and affordability, with a thoughtfully-designed interior, a range of efficient engines and relatively low running costs.
That combination of all-round strengths explains why Autocar’s sister brand What Car? awarded the Qashqai the maximum five stars when it was reviewed – and honoured the Qashqai as the best small SUV in the What Car? Awards for the past three years. In 2014, the Qashqai was named What Car?’s overall Car of the Year, too.
So what makes the Qashqai so deserving of that string of honours? There are plenty of reasons, and to highlight them Nissan asked What Car? to make a video explaining how they reached their conclusions – and funded its creation.
Watch on to find out why What Car? has been so consistently impressed with the Nissan Qashqai.
