It wasn't just GM showing off the fruits of British design talent at Detroit last week. Brit designer David Woodhouse, a former Autocar Designer of the Year, created the Lincoln Aviator concept at Ford’s new concept studio in Irvine, California, run by Aston Martin design boss Henrik Fisker. A thinly disguised production car pitched more for on-road than off-road use, it goes on sale in late 2005, to battle the BMW X3 and US-only Infiniti FX35.
