New special editions of the X5 off-roader announced by BMW

Despite a waiting list that already extends into next year, the X5 4x4 range has been extended by BMW to give buyers greater choice.

For £40,055 £1540 over the standard 3.0d Sport, the 3.0d Le Mans Blue Sport pack adds 20in alloys, running boards and leather/Alcantara upholstery as well as a Le Mans Blue metallic paint finish, previously only seen on the flagship 4.8.

There is also a new range of Exclusive Edition models, with unique interior and exterior traim, available with 3.0i , 3.0d or 4.4i engines based on either SE (from £41,845) or Sport (from £41,950) trims.

X5 buyers can also now have the choice of three new options packages. The £520 Climate pack adds heated steering wheel, front seats, and sun protection glass. Starting at £1140, the Premium pack adds a panoramic sunroof, electric lumbar support, Xenon headlamps and leather trim. available only on Sport models from £880, Sports Plus adds 20in alloys, running boards and leather upholstery.
