Ferrari is the first F1 team to show its car for the 2011 season - the F150

Ferrari has become the first Formula One team to show its hand for the new season in Maranello this morning, where it has revealed its new F150.

The car is set to make its circuit debut this afternoon at the team’s Fiorano test track, where Fernando Alonso will put it through its paces for some promotional filming.

Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali is keen for the Italian team to hit the ground running in 2011 after a slow start in 2010. Alonso recovered to lead the drivers’ championship heading into the last race in Abu Dhabi, but a wrong call for a pit stop handed the title to Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel.

“For 2011 our goals are very clear, that we are aiming to win both the titles, constructors' and drivers' titles, this must be the goal of our team,” Domenicali told reporters at the launch.

"And so the expectations, that of being able to have a car competitive from the start, a reliable car, a strong car, and I have to say that we've seen this last year.

Fernando Alonso: 'F1 is too complicated'

"If you're not perfect within such a competitive environment, with opponents that are so strong with teams, which also varied numerically, then it becomes difficult to win."

Following today’s promo filming, the F150 will then receive its full shakedown from Felipe Massa tomorrow before heading to Valencia for the first of F1’s four official winter tests on Tuesday. The season starts in Bahrain in March.
