MG return in the pipeline

MGs could return to sale in the UK next year. Nanjing Automobile, which holds the licence to the MG Rover name, plans to start selling MGs in the UK and Spain by early 2007.

The first cars to be sold in these areas – chosen because MG Rovers have sold well there in the past – will be a revised MG TF and the MG 7, a revised ZT.

By the end of 2007, the MG 5 – a revised Rover 45 – is expected to join them on sale.

Autocar sources understand that UK dealers are already being sought.
