Up to 150 new jobs are being created by Rolls-Royce as it prepares for production of the forthcoming Ghost at its Goodwood factory in Sussex.
The firm is looking to take on new staff in the wood, leather and paint shops as well as the main assembly area, as well as staff for the headquarters.
Rolls-Royce CEO Tom Purves said, “This is good news for the British car industry at a time when it is struggling. Britain has an exceptional talent for automotive production and we are keen to maximise this at Rolls-Royce. We now need to put people in place to bring the car to market.”
Rolls has been expanding Goodwood for the last two years to accommodate the Ghost production line, which it will start making cars in the autumn. The first cars will be delivered early next year.
