The next Subaru Subaru XV crossover has been previewed with a thinly veiled concept at the Geneva motor show.
The new Subaru XV has been revealed - get the latest here:
The XV Concept is shorter and wider than the current XV, but keeps the same wheelbase. It also takes on a far more robust and aggressive appearance than the current car, with elements including body cladding, roof rails and a chunky front bumper giving it a muscular stance.

New headlight and taillight designs also feature, while the rear of the car gets a similarly powerful look. The concept is finished in a new paint colour with contrasting orange accents, and sits on 19-inch alloy wheels.
Subaru says the new model has “a solid, robust appearance and raised ground clearance that references the go-anywhere All-Wheel Drive capability of every Subaru vehicle”.
As well as previewing the next XV, the XV concept also shows the design language of future Subaru models, dubbed ‘Dynamic X Solid’.
The current XV has only recently received a mid-life facelift, so it’s not likely that an all-new version of the car will arrive soon. The XV’s facelift has bought mild tweaks to the car’s interior and exterior styling, and a range of more economical engines.

Nice colours
Duck egg blue with a hint of lurid orange works surprisingly well.
I'm not sure about the looks though, it's a bit generic. It would work to get ford out of the hole they've designed themselves into but Subaru could have done something a bit bolder.
It'll be interesting to see it in hatchback and saloon versions.
