Ford's luxury brand Lincoln has revealed a new SUV concept at the New York motor show.
The Navigator concept car is described as being the "most spacious, luxurious Lincoln SUV yet, bringing quiet luxury to more customers". It is powered by a 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine producing more than 395bhp.
The most striking thing about the concept is its large, futuristic interior, which is accessed through gullwing doors and via an extending staircase-style side plate. The wi-fi enabled, six-seat interior has individual infotainment screens for rear passengers, seats that adjust 30 different ways, and a 'wardrobe management system' for carrying clothes and luggage.
Other features include autonomous emergency braking, pedestrian detection, a 360-degree camera and autonomous parking.
The Navigator large SUV is currently sold in the US, and this latest concept is said to preview features that will appear on the next-generation model, due in 2018.

If the doors made it to production (which they won't) how many potential buyers would have to dismiss it because their garage ceiling is too low? Of course, you could never put it in a multi-storey car park!
