The Renault R.S. 2027 Vision concept has been previewed in an official image ahead of it being revealed at the Shanghai motor show.

Pitched as a foreshadowing of how Formula 1 cars may look in the future, the R.S. 2027 Vision previews technologies which may also make it onto road cars.

Formula 1 - the new technical regulations in pictures

The covers come off at the Shanghai motor show, as Renault prepares celebrations of its fortieth anniversary of its first F1 race. The Renault name returned to F1 after five years away last season, and the French manufacturer has plans to stick around for a long time; it claims that the R.S. 2027 Vision concept proves this.

This season, Briton Jolyon Palmer and German Nico Hülkenberg are competing for Renault.
