Seven cars have made the final from 35 shortlisted in Europe’s Car of the Year awards. The BMW 5-series, Fiat Panda, Mazda 3, Nissan Micra, Toyota Avensis, Vauxhall Meriva and Volkswagen Golf. All seven will be hoping to emulate the success of last year’s winner, the Renault Mégane.
Autocar’s editor-in-chief Steve Cropley is one of 58 judges from across Europe, and the results will be announced at the Autocar awards ceremony on 18 November and in the magazine which hits the newstands on the same day.
