Italian engineer Maurizio Zanisi successfully crossed the English Chanel last Friday in his floating Fiat Panda Terramere 4.
Everything went according to plan (see original article here), with Zanisi enetering the water near Dover at around 8.30am and driving up the beach at Cap Griz Nez in Pas de Calais, France at around 4.30pm.
Zanisi’s modified Panda 4x4 uses a flotation belt around the middle, with a waterjet powered off the rear axle providing propulsion.
Having successfully crossed the channel, Zanisi has now returned to Rome.
