Dubai's crown prince gifts Schuey a man-made island complete with racetrack

Dubai’s crown prince has given Michael Schumacher an island in ‘The World’ development off the coast of the United Arab Emirates.

It’s one of a group of man-made islands that are being built to look like a map of the earth.

Worth around $7 million, Schumacher Isle is located in the southern hemisphere as part of the Antarctica cluster. Predictably, it has its own racing circuit and moorings for numerous yachts.

This isn’t the first time the oil-rich UAE has paid homage to the seven-time F1 world champion; A skyscraper, the Michael Schumacher World Champion Tower in Abu Dhabi, is just a few years away from completion.

Schumacher is closely linked with the region through his association with Ferrari.
