German tuners Brabus tune the Tesla Roadster electric car

Brabus has turned its attention to the Tesla electric sports car.

The German tuning company is renowned for squeezing more power out of Mercs, but has not made any modifications to the mechanicals of the Tesla Roadster.

Instead, Brabus has introduced a ‘space-sound generator’. This speed-sensitive speaker system either simulates the noise of a V8 engine or pumps a sci-fi style, warp-speed noise through the speakers.

Brabus has also added 19-inch alloy wheels, wearing ultra-thin 255/30 Pirelli P Zero Nero tyres, a matt white paint job, neon underglow lights and even the option of a leather floor.

The Brabus version of the Tesla Roadster will be unveiled at the Essen motor show in Germany later this month.
