Mitsubishi’s turbocharged Colt CZT is set to upset the hot supermini establishment when it goes on sale next March for under £13,000. Based on the CZ3 three-door Colt shown at Paris for the first time, its 170bhp 1.5-litre turbocharged engine is said to be good for a 0-60mph dash of 8.0sec and a 130mph top speed. It features a stiffer bodyshell than the standard car, plus lower suspension and larger brakes. It comes with 16-inch alloys and ESP stability control as standard. Meanwhile Mitsubishi revealed to Autocar that the Colt Plus MPV (right) featured in last week’s magazine will not be coming to Europe. ‘It’s not going to happen’ said Mitsubishi Europe chairman Tim Tozer. ‘It requires too much investment to homologate it for Europe and we’d have trouble selling it at a competitive price.’
