Revealed at the Geneva show, this sinister-looking Brabus SLR receives a tweaked version of the supercharged 5.4-litre V8 engine offering an extra 43bhp at 660bhp. Combined with a new rear differential and towering 20in wheels, it propels the car from 0-62mph in a crushing 3.6sec – down from the production SLR’s 3.8sec. Top speed rises 5mph to 211mph.

A series of modifications to the front end, including the addition of a larger carbonfibre air dam, are said to provide greater stability at speed.

Inside, the car gets a carbonfibre-finish dash, new steering wheel and even a leather floor covering. The Brabus SLR costs €600,000 (£412k) and can be air-freighted to buyers anywhere in the world.
