Ford Focus RS development videos

Ford documented the development process of the Focus RS, and released the following videos through the last part of 2015. They're arranged in descending order below.

The final video in the series charting the development of the Ford Focus RS has been released, showing the last stages where the car is finally signed off by company bosses.

The seventh version follows Ken Block as he reveals the car to the world at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Meanwhile, in Belgium, Ford engineers gather to sign off the Focus RS for production.

The sixth video in the series focuses on the building of RS prototypes at Ford's Saarlouis plant in Germany, and on development of the car's 2.3-litre Ecoboost engine.

The fifth video in the series follows the RS in testing, as the team moves to Sweden for cold-weather testing and some sideways action on low-friction surfaces.

The fourth in the series shows Gymkhana and rally star Ken Block visiting the Ford test track in Llommell, Belgium, to see how chassis set-up has been progressing.

Previous videos have focused on the car's design and a road trip in the United States.

Glued to the screen.....or not....

Vicki Parrot ? On 'drift mode' ? On a skid-pan ? For 54 seconds ? I think Chris Harris should retire right now, don't you ?

Now about the car

Dont know about the ladies and gents reading this mag - or other mags, but I for one am sick to death of companies like Ford trying to get so many things out of the same cookie jar. They become off-putting and lose their uniqueness which I think is not the effect the makers had in mind. I certainly wouldnt cross the road to view it let alone sit in it

Who are you

Are you a jealous Astra salesman? Motoring journalists the world over sings the praises of this car and you come up with the comment you just did? In my opinion it exposes you as a rival salesman who is looking at the reason for a cut in your meal ticket- just suck it up and move on... :)

What is life without imagination? Do tell.....

Sure the car is great, but is it really Autocars place to effectively run an ad campaign for Ford? I dread to think what BMW will make of this - Their stranglehold on UK Motoring journalism output must be starting to loosen.
