Currently reading: Honda makes wild NSX-R GT

The Honda NSX is on its way out, but not before one final revamp to raise its already potent performance up a notch or two. This latest incarnation of Honda’s long-surviving supercar, dubbed NSX-R GT, was developed for racing homologation purposes in Japan and will be limited to a run of just five cars costing around £250,000. The engine remains the same – a 280bhp 3.2-litre V6 sending its power to the rear wheels. However, the body has been heavily reworked with a huge front air dam, a larger cooling duct ahead of the rear wheels, a towering rear wing and an odd looking air box that rises from the rear window to provide added cooling to the engine bay – all in carbonfibre to keep weight as low as possible.
