Currently reading: More grunt for hot Clio

The Renault Clio II is getting a revamp for 2004, ahead of the all-new model arriving early in 2005. Key changes include a front-end restyle, a new 100bhp 1.5 dCi turbodiesel and an extra 10bhp for the range-topping Renaultsport 182. Alongside the extra horsepower, the 182 gets suspension tweaks, new 16in alloys shod with larger 205/45 Michelin Pilot Exalto tyres and Clio V6-style centre-exit exhausts.

Despite the extra power, the Renaultsport's price remains unchanged at £14,600 and the remainder of the range will receive only slight price tweaks apart from the new 1.5 dCi 100, which costs from £11,050 in three-door Dynamique trim.
