Ford expands its ECOnetic range with the 139g/km 2.0-litre TDCi Mondeo

Ford has announced a new version of the Mondeo ECOnetic, in an expansion of its environmentally friendly range.

Available in estate and five-door form, both models are equipped with Ford’s 2.0-litre TDCi, which helps keep CO2 emissions down to 139g/km.

Combined fuel economy is a claimed 54.3mpg and Ford claim a range of 800 miles is available from a single tank of fuel.

Other eco tweaks include low-rolling resistance tyres, an optimum gear change indicator, aerodynamic-enhancing sports suspension, air deflectors and a rear spoiler.

Safety features include ESP with Traction Assist and an Emergency Brake Assist system.

The new models will be offered alongside the existing five-door or estate 1.8-litre Mondeo ECOnetic.

The 2.0-litre version is on sale now, priced from £20,795.
