Nissan is adding two new special editions of the Micra to the current line-up

Nissan is adding two new special editions of the Nissan Micra to the current line-up. Named Kuro and Shiro – which respectively means black and white in Japanese – the new models are based on the mid-grade Acenta-spec Nissan Micra, but will feature extras which had previously been reserved for top-of-the-range-models.

These include parking sensors with parking space measurement, heated front seats and climate control and the option of integrated satnavas a £400 upgrade.

The Micra Kuro and Shiro editions also get metallic paint schemes, with a choice of black (for Kuro) or two shades of white (for Shiro) available.The new variants will also receive uprated interiors featuring an ivory-effect dashboard and lighter seat trim, along with bespoke badges on the rear tailgate.Both the 1.2-litre normally aspirated and supercharged DIG-S engines will be available for Micra Kuro and Shiro, with either manual or automatic CVT transmission.

Although production numbers or a release date have not been confirmed, Nissan are now taking orders with prices for the base 1.2-litre manual starting at £11,500.
