Sebring is over here, not over-sized

Chrysler is renewing its attack on the European market with the new Sebring, which receives its European launch at the British motor show on 18 July, along with the new Dodge Nitro.

The Sebring is a Mondeo-sized saloon, which goes on sale in the middle of next year in right-hand drive, with either a 2.4-litre petrol or 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine. Prices have yet to be comfirmed, but expect them to be competitive.

The styling is distinctively different to the European norm, with similarities to the Crossfire coupe, especially around the bonnet and grille.

The Dodge Nitro SUV is the concept car that was unveiled at the 2005 Chicago show. The production version is due to go on sale in right-hand-drive in 2007, and is expected to closely follow the concept’s look.
