Toyota has announced prices and spec for the new 3+1 iQ city car, which will start from £9495 and is available to order now.
Initially the iQ is only available with the three-cylinder 1.0-litre petrol engine, which puts out just 99g/km of CO2, enough to win the iQ free road tax, and achieve a claimed 65.7mpg.
The iQ is also offered with a ‘Multidrive’ constantly variable transmission for an extra £1000, although this pushes CO2 emissions up to 110g/km.
Only two trim levels will be offered to British buyers: base and ‘iQ2’. Standard spec includes 15-inch allows, air conditioning, a six-speaker sound system, privacy glass and a leather steering wheel.
The iQ2 costs £10,495 with a manual gearbox and adds fog lights, automatic headlights and wipers, climate control, keyless entry and a push-button start.
All iQs will come with nine airbags, traction and stability control as standard.
