Callaway's flagship Camaro, new US-bound Sonata, Toyota concept nominated for design award

Chevrolet tuner Callaway has announced a hotter version of the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, which sees power and torque increase to 652bhp and 620lb ft. The Callaway Camaro Z/28 SC652 uses a hand-built 7.0-litre V8 engine equipped with an Eaton supercharger. Callaway claims a 0-60mph time of 3.7sec.

Hyundai's new Sontata, which will go on sale in key markets like the US in the second half of this year, has been revealed. The mid-size saloon is considerably larger than the outgoing car, but the Korean manufacturer says it is "too early to say" whether the Sonata will be used to underpin the next generation of Europe-bound i40 models.

The Toyota ME.WE concept has been nominated in the Designs of the Year awards at the London Design Museum. The concept was “conceived to challenge traditional thinking about vehicle design and engineering” and developed by architect and designer Jean-Marie Massaud and ED2, Toyota’s European design studio.
