Huracán and Urus sold out until end of their production run; UK was firm's second biggest market

Lamborghini has posted yet another round of record-breaking financial figures, finishing the first half of 2023 with increases in sales, revenues and profits.

The Italian firm sold 5341 cars from January to June, a 4.9% increase year on year.

It cited especially strong demand for the Huracán supercar and Urus SUV in their final months on sale in their current form.

Each model will be replaced next year by a plug-in hybrid and is sold out until then.

Lamborghini also recently announced that the order bank for its new Revuelto V12 hybrid supercar stretches into 2026.

CEO Stephan Winkelmann said this is "a sign that not only is the technology accepted but also that the brand is on the highest level ever".

Lamborghini's biggest market remains the US, where it sold 1625 cars over the six months, but the UK was its second most important, accounting for 514 sales to just edge past Germany.

The company's revenues for the six-month period stand at €1.42 billion (£1.2bn) – a yearly increase of 6.7% – and operating income climbed 7.2% to a record €456 million. Operating margins are at a record high, too, at 32.1%.

Winkelmann said Lamborghini took "great pride" in communicating its latest results and highlighted the significance of having achieved them in the firm's 60th anniversary year.

CFO Paolo Poma, meanwhile, said the "positive trend reinforces our expectation that we will close the year with further record results in all the key financial metrics, with profitability that confirms Lamborghini's place among the leading brands in the luxury segment".
