Audi's A3 cabriolet enters production in Hungary, while Mini reveals a new paint finish for its top-spec models

The new Audi A3 cabriolet has gone into production in Hungary. Audi's factory in Gyor, which also produces the new A3 saloon, is expanding its capacity to 125,000 vehicles per year. The site will also produce the next generation of TT coupé and roadster.

Mini has added a new paint finish for top-spec Mini Countryman and Paceman models. The new paint comes exclusively in black and has a matt finish. BMW says that because of the labour-intensive nature of the production process only a limited number of models will be produced with the new paint.

A 1970 IKA Torino 380S, owned by Juan Manuel Fangio, is set to be sold by Silverstone Auctions. The AMC-based, Argentinian-made car's documentation includes Fangio's international driving licence. Current projections place its value at around £25,000.

Honda has revealed that its new Formula One engine for the 2015 season is under development. The unit will be developed as part of a joint partnership with McLaren, with Honda in charge of development and manufacturing and McLaren responsible for the chassis and team management.
