These are the first pictures of the Evo X hatchback. Still classed as a concept, and due to be revealed at the Geneva show next week, the five-door Prototype-S will be almost identical to the production car, which will officially be called the 'Evo X Sportback'. Aimed squarely at the Impreza WRX, the Sportback will be based on the same architecture as the saloon, and use a 237bhp 2.0-litre turbocharged engine and permanent four-wheel drive. The same SST twin-clutch gearbox will also make it into the hatchback straight from the Evo X saloon. Expect to see the Sportback in showrooms this autumn, priced at around £21,500.
