Audi extends its A3 and A8 ranges with entry-level A3 2.0 turbo and quattro A8 3.2

From this week, the Audi A3 and A8 ranges will be expanded to incorporate a wider range of configurations. The A3’s 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with FSI, previously only offered with Sport trim, is now available in standard three-door A3 and five-door A3 Sportback models. Prices start at £19,070 for the A3 2.0 T FSI, rising to £22,970 for the range-topping A3 Sportback 2.0 T FSI Sport DSG and quattro Sport models.

Both standard and Sport trims of the A3 and A3 Sportback are now also available with front-wheel-drive and six-speed manual gearbox. Previously six-speed manual transmission was only available with quattro permanent four-wheel-drive cars.

In the A8 range, the newly released 256bhp A8 3.2 FSI is now available with quattro four-wheel drive starting at £49,830, alongside the existing front-wheel drive cars, which start at £47,930. All quattro models are fitted with a six-speed automatic gearbox in place of the front-drive car's CVT. The A8 3.2 FSI quattro is also available with Sport trim, which adds 19-inch alloy wheels, sports adaptive suspension, sports seats and a sports multi-function steering wheel to the base model.
