New Colt CZC is the country’s only new, sub-£10,000 open-top

They say the winter’s the best time to buy a convertible. It certainly is if you’re in the market for a new tin-topped coupe-convertible, thanks to a great new deal that Mitsubishi is offering on the Colt CZC.The firm has just negotiated a massive £3000 off the factory price of its Colt CZC. That means you can get a brand new unregistered model, complete with folding metal roof, for just £9999. That’s £4700 cheaper than a Peugeot 207CC, cheaper than a Daihatsu Copen – cheaper even than Smart’s Fortwo cabrio.Standard equipment on the Colt CZC includes air conditioning, antilock brakes, an MP3 CD player and a colour-keyed body kit. All of the entry-level models come with non-metallic Espresso black paint, but for an extra £400 you can upgrade the car to include alloy wheels, fog lights and metallic or pearlescent paint, and still make a 25 per cent saving on the former price. All Colts come with a three-year, unlimited mileage warranty and a roadside assistance package thrown in, and for £200 extra, you get your first three scheduled services thrown in for free.
