Jaguar has opened the books on a limited edition X-type to rekindle the sales success of the recently bereaved brand - the Spirit. Available with only 194bhp 2.5-litre V6 petrol power and all-wheel drive, the special production run will boost the Spirit's specification without inflating its price. Including electrically-adjusted leather seats, cruise and climate control, 17in alloy wheels and the plunging skirts of the Sports Collection body kit, Jaguar has added some £3,900-worth of options to this endangered X. Just 450 will be made, in a choice of complementary Platinum, Quartz, Ebony or Jaguar Racing Green metallic paint, and for just £23,800 – only £30 above basic S specification.
