A special edition of the Rolls-Royce Phantom coupé has been created with the spirit of the Goodwood motor circuit in mind.
Inside, the bespoke model features carbonfibre trim instead of the traditional wood, a chequered flag motif stitched into the seats, and a metal plaque featuring the layout of the Goodwood track inside the glovebox.
On the outside, the bonnet and windscreen surround are finished in matt-black paint. The rest of the car is finished in Gunmetal paint.
For the first time on a contemporary Rolls-Royce, painted wheels matching the exterior colour are also included.
Inspiration for the custom design came from Rolls-Royce brand manager in Dubai Mohammed El-Arishy, who said: "I wanted to create a motor car that captures the unique atmosphere and history of the Goodwood motor circuit. Rolls-Royce’s connection to such an important centre of British motoring heritage is something that fascinates my customers.”
The company says its bespoke design divison has, in the past, gone to such lengths as to match an exterior paint to a client's favourite colour of eye shadow, as well as sourcing a wood trim from a tree on a customer's estate.
The same 6.75-litre V12 engine used by the standard car is kept, meaning a 0-60mph time of around 6.1 seconds.
Rolls-Royce has not confirmed whether it will put the model on sale. The car will be seen at the Dubai motor show.
