Leaked renderings which appear to show a Jaguar Jaguar F-Type coupé are in fact images of the original C-X16 concept car, a Jaguar spokesperson has told Autocar.
The images were originally filed for patent back in August 2011, prior to the reveal of the C-X16 at the Frankfurt motor show in September of that year.
Jaguar has recently launched its Jaguar F-Type convertible, which shares much of its styling with the C-X16. This suggests that a Jaguar F-Type coupé, if one were to go in to production, may also closely resemble the C-X16 concept.
