Mazda has revealed that its facelifted 6 will cost from £19,795 when it goes on sale in the UK early next year.
The model made its debut at the recent LA motor show, where Mazda also showed its new CX-3 crossover and the facelifted Mazda CX-5.
Like the updated CX-5 SUV, the main exterior changes to the 6 revolve around its front grille, which takes on a more fluidic shape. New LED headlight designs also feature at the rear alongside a new shark fin radio antenna, while the colour range has also expanded.
Inside is where the 6's updates are most evident. Adopting a more luxurious look, Mazda has redesigned the instrument panel and lower console. New features include an electronic parking brake, a free-standing seven-inch infotainment screen running the firm's MZD connect service, and a rear seat heater.
The 6's engine range, which includes 2.0 and 2.5-litre SkyAtiv-G direct-injection petrol engines as well as a 2.2-litre SkyActiv-D diesel, has been carried over, but the diesel is now available with Mazda's latest all-wheel drive system.
Additions to Mazda's suite of safety technologies include adaptive LED headlights, plus lane keeping and driver attention assistance systems.
Set to go on sale in both saloon and estate forms, prices for the range start at £19,795 for the 2.0-litre SE SkyActiv-G saloon, and rise to £28,795 for the top-spec 2.2-litre Sport Nav Auto estate.
