These are the first spy shots of the 2016 Lincoln Continental luxury saloon, fresh from its debut at the New York motor show earlier this month.
The heavily disguised prototype does not give much away, but the basic shape and proportions appear relatively unchanged from the heavily chromed concept version unveiled in New York.
Details on the luxury model are slim, but we do know that the production version, which is due next year, will be aimed at the American and Chinese markets.
It will be powered by a "unique to Lincoln" 3.0-litre V6 Ecoboost petrol engine, with the premium car manufacturer stating the Continental will be about "unashamed first-class travel" rather than sporting pretentions.
The 2016 Lincoln Continental is set to be offered in standard and long-wheelbase sizes, with rumours of a front-wheel-drive version to aid fuel economy, as well as a four-wheel drive option.
