The Renault Captur, the sister car to the Nissan Juke, offers an appealing ownership package especially after its mid-life facelift, but it isn't the last word in driving engagement

Inside, there is part-leather upholstery, aluminium pedals and Renault’s R-Link Evolution infotainment system, which gains European mapping for the sat-nav and a reverse parking camera view.

The car also gets the Renault’s Grip Xtend pack as standard, adding a unique traction control system and special mud and snow tyres to improve grip on slippery surfaces.

Order books for the 2016 Captur range are open now. The car's key rivals include the Kia Soul, which starts at £12,800, and the Nissan Juke, which starts at £13,995.

Why only the 118bhp version

Why only the 118bhp version and not the 130bhp version of the 1.2?

At last

Hopefully this will be the last time I have to post about Renaults limited petrol engine choice with a manual gear box. How can the so-called professionals get it so wrong.

All well and good

but have you at last fitted (or decided to offer) curtain airbags in what for many is a small family car?

Curtain airbags?

Why do you need curtain airbags? This car is already a 5 euro-Ncap star car. The important thing is the result, not the way to achieve it, no?
