400bhp Euro Mustang for under £40k

American tuning company Roush has created a limited edition Europe-specific version of the Ford Mustang.

With a Roots-type supercharger added to the Mustang GT’s 4.6-litre V8, the 420RE musters 400bhp, 100bhp more than the standard car, with a short throw manual gearshift to encourage drivers to exploit that power.

There are uprated suspension and bigger brakes to cope, while visual changes include 18in alloy wheels, rear quarter window louvers and unique badging.

Inside, aluminium pedals and Roush floor mats complete a look that will set you back £39,995.
