Production of Alfa Romeo’s new dual-clutch gearbox will begin next January.
The six-speed, paddle-shift 'box will be offered as an option on range-topping Cloverleaf petrol Mitos and Giuliettas from March, priced between £600 and £1000.

The Giulietta itself comes to the UK this June in three trim levels and with a choice of four engines. The diesel range will consists of 104bhp 1.4-litre and 168bhp 2.0-litre turbo units, while petrol engines include a 118bhp 1.4-litre unit and a 168bhp 1.4-litre Multiair.
The Giulietta Cloverleaf will be launched early nest year. It is expected to be priced from around £25,000; the standard Giulietta will start at around £17,000 for the entry-level 120bhp Turismo petrol model.
