Currently reading: First Farboud nearly ready for delivery

Farboud, one of Britain’s newest independent sports car makers, is about to take a huge step forward when it delivers its first car this month. The Cambridgeshire outfit’s first GTS is almost finished – boss Arash Farboud describes its delivery as ‘imminent’. The first owner will be Ducati MotoGP racer Loris Capirossi. The next hand-built cars will roll out to customers as they are individually completed. Farboud has three of the lightweight 580bhp cars available now to deposit-holders, for £150,000. After that, it estimates the wait on the standard £78k 440bhp cars at between eight and 12 months.
