All-electric VW e-Golf for £26k; Citroën C1 on sale in July; Celestial Phantom celebrated in new documentary

Prices for the new Volkswagen e-Golf start at £25,845, with first deliveries of the all-electric hatch expected at the end of June. That includes the government's £5000 electric vehicle grant. Powered by an electric motor with 113bhp, the e-Golf can accelerate to 62mph in 10.4 seconds and go on to a top speed of 87mph.

The new Citroën C1 will be priced from £8245 when it goes on sale in the UK in July. Built alongside its Toyota Aygo and Peugeot 108 counterparts, the new C1 will be available in three trim levels, dubbed Touch, Feel and Flair. Engines available at launch include a 68bhp three-cylinder 'Airdream' engine and an 82bhp 1.2-litre unit.

The making of the Rolls-Royce Celestial Phantom is the subject of a new film, which will air later this month. Inside Rolls-Royce was filmed over six months, and offers "a rare insight" into the firm. The Celestial Phantom was revealed in Frankfurt last year, and features bespoke paintwork and an upgraded interior.
