Seat's Leon SC Cupra 280 can now be upgraded with a new 'Ultimate Sub8' performance package, which costs £4200.
Building on the Sub8 package launched in August 2014, Leon Cupra models equipped with the new package get 30mm larger Brembo brakes, Michelin Sport Cup 2 tyres, new side skirts and alloy wheels, and weight reductions over the standard car.
Changes include swapping the standard Leon's climate control system for a smaller heater, reducing the standard audio system's eight speakers to four and removing the centre console armrest, rear air vents and front storage units. Seat hasn't revealed how much weight has been saved over the standard car, which weighs 1395kg in manual form.
Each vehicle will be built to order, with customers able to choose from either a six-speed manual or dual-clutch automatic transmission. In keeping with the car's stripped-out approach, there is no options list.
Seat says the model mirrors the exact specification of the Leon that broke the front-wheel drive production car record at the Nürburgring last year - a record that was superseded by Renault shortly afterwards with the Megane 275 Trophy-R.
The Leon SC Cupra 280 Ultimate Sub8, which costs £31,410 in manual form, is £5020 cheaper than the Megane 275 Trophy-R, which costs £36,430.

Hmmmmm?
Deckchairs/Titanic
PS Despite the tragic boy racer add-ons, this still looks a bit dull.
No figures?
