A one-off open-top version of the Skoda Karoq has been revealed.
Named Skoda Sunroq, it’s the work of 23 students from Skoda’s Mladá Bolesav trade school, and imagines how a Skoda entry into crossover-convertible segment – currently occupied by the Range Rover Evoque convertible and to be joined by the Volkswagen T-Roc cabriolet in 2020 – might look.
The Sunroq keeps the Skoda Karoq’s five-seat layout, is powered by VW Group’s new 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine and is capable of 0-62mph in 8.4sec on its way to a top speed of 127mph.
The standard car's B and C pillars have been removed and the tailgate has been replaced by a bespoke item which incorporates a high-set central brake light.
The car is a permanent open-top roadster, with a bespoke white and red leather interior to match the red body colour and wheel finishes. Other high-end elements include puddle lighting underneath the doors and an illuminated Skoda badge at the front.
It’s the latest in a slew of manufacturer-made one-offs in recent weeks. They include: a Honda Civic Type R Pickup Truck concept completed by specialists at the brand’s Swindon factory; a Nissan Leaf Open Car concept created to celebrate 100,000 Leaf sales in Japan; a 1180bhp Schaeffler-modified Audi RS3 saloon with four electric motors and Volkswagen’s apprentice-made Wörthersee Golfs.
The Sunroq will never make production in this guise, although Volkswagen will make a T-Roc convertible in 2020, so a Skoda-badged sibling is a remote possibility.

In my understanding, the students did a pretty good job. Although I would be calmer if, for their projects, they turned to https://www.aresearchguide.com/professional-research-paper-writing-service.html and did not create false ideas. But unfortunately, this is not the question where the professional research paper writing service can help.

This is awful. They’ve literally just decapitated a standard car and added a plastic cover at the back to tidy up the mess. I would expect better from engineering students.
