Currently reading: Vauxhall augments its LPG offerings

Undeterred by the chancellor’s increase in duty, Vauxhall is planning to expand its LPG-powered range of cars and vans.

Vauxhall currently offers dualfuel versions of its Corsa, Astra, Zafira and Vectra cars, as well as Corsavans, Combos and Astravans. It will add frugal 1.2- and 1.4-litre Twinport-engine factory conversions to a range of units that already includes 1.2-, 8v and 16v 1.6- and 1.8-litre offerings.

‘The budget brought an end to the damaging uncertainty which had existed for several months and which was badly affecting orders,’ said Ian Blinder, Vauxhall’s special vehicles manager. ‘Now we confidently expect a resurgence in orders from the growing number of fleet users.’
