Colt cabrio revealed

These are the first official images of Mitsubishi’s Colt CZC, the folding hardtop version of its highly-rated baby hatchback.

Due to be officially launched at the Geneva motor show, the CZC – jointly developed by Mitsubishi and Italian styling house and coachbuilder Pininfarina – will take on baby cabrios from Vauxhall and Peugeot in the UK market.

Mitsubishi will offer two engine options on the model – a 104bhp 1.5-litre unit and the 148bhp turbocharged 1.5-litre found in the Colt CZT. The hotter model should hit 125mph and reach 62mph in 8.4secs.

Production of the car is due to start in March, with UK sales starting in April. Expect a price of around £14,000 for the non-turbo model and around £16,000 for the turbo version.
